Summary of Professional Career
A graduate of the University of Chile, Mr. Rojas has cultivated vast experience in both public and private practice focusing his career on corporate law and contracts as well as tax law and natural resources. Before founding Chile China Lawyers,he was a member of Chile’s Ministry of Foreign Affair’s Department of Legal Affairs and of the law firm Montt and Company.
Professionally, Mr. Rojas has successfully supported a variety of companies with their corporate and tax needs, including the complex processes of corporate restructuring, the negotiation and writing of important joint venture contracts and EPC/EPCM contracts for the construction of mineral processing concentrator plants and other mining projects as well as contracts for the working of subterranean mines. He acted as a special legal consultant for a Chilean state-owned company during the negotiation process for the construction of a new and modern copper smelter built with Chinese technology and engineering. He consults with agribusiness companies on their installation and expansion in Chile as well as with wine producers and engineering companies on important infrastructure projects as well as other business matters.
